Job DescriptionJob Description

RemX Staffing is hiring for an Assistant Transportation Manager - Long term contract with potential of permanent hire.  Can be promoted into a Supervisory Role, so supervisory experience is .

Schedule - 3rd Shift - Wednesday - Saturday from 6:00pm - 6:00am - 4 days/week

Duties:

• Customer service, dispatch and proper documentation and procedure control
• Managed daily schedules, assigning drivers to specific routes based on customer demands and driver availability
• Monitor GPS tracking systems to track the location of vehicles in real-time and make necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure accurate loading and unloading of goods onto trucks for efficient transportation
• Provide relief coverage for operational duties when associates utilize time-off or are absent from the shift
• Ensure compliance with financial policies & procedures such as tracking MPG, returns, damages, etc.
• Properly plan and supervise work assignments and dispatching for 40-50 truck drivers
• Schedule preventative maintenance on equipment
• Conduct safety/driver observations and reportings

Qualifications:

• High School or GED equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree
• Proficiency with MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong problem solving skills
• DOE experience
• Transportation or Distribution experience highly
