United Integrated Services (USA) Corp. was founded in Phoenix, Arizona in 2020. UIS is a U.S. subsidiary of United Integrated Services Co., Ltd. (UIS Taiwan) which was founded in Taiwan in 1982. UIS is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction company. We provide fully integrated design-build services to our clients in the high-technology industry for their manufacturing facility needs. Our scope of services includes engineering design, high-tech factory planning, and on-time equipment and material delivery in which clean-room systems, HVAC, electrical systems, and tool hook-up, are all vital parts in need of total coordination.

Summary: The Assistant Superintendent supports the Superintendent in overseeing daily operations on the construction site. This role involves coordinating and supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, managing schedules, and assisting with project documentation. The Assistant Superintendent plays a key role in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supervise subcontractors and construction workers, ensuring that work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Facilitate communication between the project manager, superintendent, subcontractors, and site workers.
  • Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials and equipment.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise on the site promptly and effectively.
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Monitor progress against project milestones and report any deviations to the Superintendent and Project Managers.
  • Help plan and organize site logistics to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including work progress, safety incidents, and deliveries.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project status, including any delays or issues encountered.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of required project documentation.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED; bachelor's degree in construction management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction .

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices, concerning Electrical scope.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and employees.
  • Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).

Proficiency:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin, .

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.

  • Maintain balance and coordination while moving materials or operating equipment.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments requiring frequent movement and manual labor.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to dust, noise, vibration, and moving mechanical equipment.
  • Indoor and/or outdoor work environments, which may include varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Work in confined spaces, elevated areas, or active job sites, depending on project requirements.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and high-visibility vests.
  • Interaction with powered industrial equipment, tools, and vehicles.
