Mackin Engineering & Consulting is seeking a motivatedAssistant Structural Engineer to join our growing team based in Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on a wide variety of building and infrastructure projects while developing strong technical and professional skills in a collaborative consulting environment.
As an Assistant Structural Engineer, you will support the design, analysis, and inspection of structural systems, helping deliver safe, efficient, and code-compliant solutions for our clients.

What you'll Do:
- Assistwith the design and analysis of structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects
- Perform structural calculations and modeling to verify safety, stability, and code compliance
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals
- Participate in site visits and inspections tomonitorconstruction progress and conformance to design intent
- Support senior engineers during project meetings and design reviews
- Stay current with applicable building codes, standards, and industry best practices
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
- 02 years of relevant experience ( experience considered)
- Familiarity with structural analysis software and CAD drafting tools
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes and standards
- Understanding of common construction materials and structural systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Finite Element Analysis software
- Technical report writing
