Job Description
Our client is currently looking for an Assistant Site Manager (Freelance) to join their team on an £18M new build warehouse project based in Creeting St Peter for a period of 6 Months. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a fast-paced industrial scheme, supporting the Site Manager in delivering the project to programme, budget, and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of site operations
* Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient progress
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (HSE, company policies)
* Monitor progress against the programme and help maintain site records and reports
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits
* Assist with material deliveries, logistics, and maintaining a tidy and compliant site
* Support with site meetings and communication between stakeholders
Requirements
* Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on new build construction projects
* SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card, and First Aid at Work (required)
* Knowledge of steel-frame and industrial build methods (advantageous)
* Strong understanding of health & safety, quality assurance, and site procedures
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
