Location: Commutable to Cardiff



Remuneration: £25,000 – £35,000 (DOE) + discretionary bonus

The role of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor –Aluminium Facade Systems will involve:



* Assistant Quantity Surveyor position dealing with the complete design, manufacture and installation service for curtain walling, windows, doors and facades



* Supporting Commercial Director and Quantity Surveyor’s



* Elements of managing commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors



* Produce and maintain up to date procurement schedules



* Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders



* Manage month end applications, invoicing & valuations within agreed timescales



* Identify variations occurrences including cost application approval



* Manage client contractual requirements within contract documents



* Attending site for internal/external meetings including site measures



* Being involved with projects ranging in value from £250k to £2m



The ideal applicant will be Assistant Quantity Surveyor –Aluminium Facade Systems with:



* Must have a Quantity Surveying degree and ideally 1-2 years experience within the UK construction industry



* Ideally will have experience dealing with curtain walling, glazing, facades, entrances, shop fronts, roofs, atriums, internal glass, sliding doors, balustrades & canopies



* Must be an outgoing character who will be an integral part of the team



* IT literate (Microsoft Office)



* Effective time management and organisational skills



* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
