Assistant Quantity Surveyor\nPeterborough \n£40K - £48K + package\nRepairs & Maintenance\n\nAre you looking to progress your Quantity Surveying career with a company that genuinely makes a difference? We're working with a well-established social housing contractor in Peterborough that's growing their commercial team and looking to bring on board an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to join a business heavily involved in decarbonisation and retrofit projects, as well as planned maintenance works across social housing stock. You'll play a key supporting role in the commercial management of a wide range of sustainable refurbishment schemes-think energy efficiency upgrades, external wall insulation, solar PV, and boiler replacements.\n\nWhat You'll Be Doing:\n\nAssisting in the commercial management of retrofit and planned works projects\nSupporting with subcontractor procurement, valuations, and variations\nCost control, forecasting, and reporting alongside the Senior QS\nLiaising with project teams, clients, and supply chain to ensure smooth delivery\nEnsuring compliance with commercial processes and frameworks \n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n\nExperience working on social housing or similar refurbishment projects\nA good understanding of quantity surveying principles and commercial processes\nExposure to decarb or retrofit works is ideal (but not essential)\nStrong communication and organisational skills\nHNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying or working towards
