Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking construction contractor, delivering high-quality projects across various sectors including commercial, residential, and public infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of work across the North West, they're looking to develop the next of commercial talent-starting with a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their site-based team in Manchester and Liverpool



The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to gain hands-on experience while learning from an experienced commercial team. You'll support the day-to-day commercial management of live construction projects, ensuring accurate cost control, reporting, and subcontractor management.



Key Responsibilities



Assist in preparing cost estimates, tender submissions, and valuations

Support the procurement of subcontractors and materials

Monitor costs and assist with project financial reporting

Help manage subcontractor payments and variations

Conduct regular site visits and liaise with site teams

Ensure compliance with company procedures and contractual obligationsWhat We're Looking For



Degree-qualified or currently studying Quantity Surveying (or similar)

2 years' experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Eager to learn, reliable, and detail-oriented

Good communication and organisational skills

Familiar with Microsoft Excel and industry software (e.g. Bluebeam, Causeway - beneficial)
