Job Summary
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the planning, coordination, and execution of multi-family construction projects. This role involves assisting the Project Manager in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. The Assistant Project Manger will work closely with various stakeholders and contribute to the overall success of the projects.

Duties

- Assist with the development and management of project schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Monitor project progress and assist in resolving issues that may impact the timeline, scope, or quality.
- Support the Project Manager in communicating with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure all parties are informed of project status, changes, and updates.
- Assist with preparation and management of project documentation including contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and daily reports.
- Help source and order materials and equipment for the project, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.
- Support the tracking of project budgets and expenditures.
- Assist in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and help ensure projects remain within budget.
- Ensure the project site follows all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in monitoring quality standards and help address any quality issues on site.

Skills
\n

- Experience in Construction or project coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project), Procore, AutoDesk, or similar project management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify problems early and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
- Familiarity with multifamily construction processes, contracts, and regulations is a plus.
