Job Description
Role: Assistant Project Manager \n\nLocation: London \n\nSalary: Up to £45,000\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are seeking a Assistant Project Manager to support the technical delivery of structural steel projects from design through fabrication and installation. The role is focused on engineering coordination, technical problem-solving, and project support, ensuring designs are buildable, compliant, and delivered efficiently. \n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAct as a key link between design, detailing, fabrication, and site teams.\n\nReview engineering information, drawings, and models to ensure accuracy and buildability.\n\nAssist Project Managers with technical input during planning and delivery stages.\n\nEnsure engineering solutions align with project specifications and standards.\n\nSupport quality inspections, snagging, and technical close-out activities.\n\nIdentify clashes, detailing issues, and buildability risks within Tekla outputs.\n\nAttend design meetings, coordination workshops, and site meetings as required.\n\nCommunicate clearly with internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.\n\nCandidate Profile\n\nEssential\n\nExperience working as a Site Engineer, Assistant Engineer, or roles\n\nStrong background in structural steel projects or metalwork would be desirable \n\nAbility to review and understand Tekla models and fabrication drawings.\n\nUnderstanding of buildability, fabrication, and site constraints.\n\nConfident communicator with strong problem-solving skills.\n\nWhy This Role\n\nThis role plays a critical part in ensuring engineering information is technically sound, coordinated, and buildable, helping projects run smoothly from early design through to site delivery.
