We are a plumbing, fire suppression, and mechanical contractor seeking an Assistant Project Manager to become an integral part of our team! The position will be office based. You will be responsible for the coordination and management between the field staffing, foreman, and office staffing to facilitate actions that are needed to effectively and efficiently build projects. We are seeking only candidates with construction project management experience specifically
Responsibilities:
- Set up projects to be ready for field staffing
- Prepare project submittals to be ready to submit to design teams for approval
- Coordinate and prepare for material and equipment schedules with estimator and project staffing to assure the most competitive buyout
- Reproduce and E-file project plans
- Maintain project plans in office, for the field, while keeping them up to date based on changes from design team
- Produce, update, and maintain project schedules
- Coordinate with field staffing all DOB inspections on all ongoing projects
- Prepare DOB paper work for all permits
- Track and monitor all project permit renewals
- Data entry into project management software
- Prepare and coordinate with field staffing RFI's to design team
- Coordinate major deliveries with vendors and field staffing'
- Ensure deadlines for various tasks are maintained
- Maintain project documentation
- Serve as a liaison between vendors regarding technical issues and our field staffing for our projects
- Prepare and coordinate project close out documents
- Manage and improve operational practices
- Allocate resources and materials to meet project deadlines
- Track and forecast operational trends and analysis
- Provide daily operations oversight for outside teams
- Formalize policies and procedures in accordance to HR regulations
Qualifications:
- Three to five years experience in construction related project management
- Experience in MEP trades but no mandatory
- Previous experience in operations or other related fields
- Strong project management skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
