The Role

Kuwait Finance House PLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join its Operations Department. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role supports the successful and timely implementation of both local and Group-wide transformation initiatives. The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate with UK and Group colleagues, manage project documentation, and produce management information (MI) reports to ensure effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including deadlines, task prioritization, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and report on milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks through regular risk management practices.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Track and report project performance using tools and systems.
  • Escalate issues and provide updates to senior management as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure clear communication.
  • Conduct strategic analysis to align project outcomes with business goals.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation for transparency and traceability.
  • Apply Agile and Waterfall methodologies effectively, ensuring compliance with delivery frameworks.
  • Utilize MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project Planner) proficiently.


Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Education: University degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience in change and transformation project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of UK banking regulations, including GDPR.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.


Desirable:

  • PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum Master certification.
  • Financial Services background.
  • Experience in matrix organizations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory sales and compliance frameworks.
