Job Posting for Assistant Project Manager:

The Assistant Project Manager is a training position with the expectation that the employee will develop into a Project Manager and eventually a Senior Project manager with a salary base plus commission compensation package. They will report directly to the Production Manager in assisting Project Managers with planning, developing, managing, executing and closing out a variety of water efficiency and measurement and verification projects. Assistant Project Managers will ensure that all projects meet the requirements set forth by the customer and that projects are completed on time and within budget. Competency of duties and responsibilities as well as showing the ability to create and develop new customer accounts will lead to advancement.

Job/Project Responsibilities:

• Perform water surveys and walkthroughs of various facilities to identify water conservation opportunities, including domestic fixtures and all other water using systems.

• Develop and design water efficiency solutions, and assist in doing cost/benefit analyses to determine the cost effectiveness of options.

• Analyze utility rate and usage data in excel and compile accompanying charts and graphs.

• Compose survey, installation and maintenance reports.
• Work with internal team members as well as facility staff, and outside vendors to review floor plans, obtain documents needed and obtain material and labor pricing information.

• Create proposals from survey results.

• Research, apply for, and track progress through the close out of incentives and rebates from various utility companies.

• Design and manage water measurement and verification solutions.

• Research and stay informed of water efficiency, updates, trends, regulations and developments.

• Receive training and train other team members on how to use tools and equipment such as ultrasonic water meters, conductivity meters, flow meters, flushometers, pressure sensors, boiler equipment, cooling tower equipment, water softeners and other water using equipment.

Requirements:

• College Degree with an emphasis in science/math or comparable experience

• Analytical mindset
• Prior work experience in a team setting

• Proficient user of computer applications with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Outlook/email

• Outstanding written and verbal communication suitable for a managerial position

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work with hands and basic plumbing tools
• Physically fit to walk for long periods with agility when carrying medium loads bending or stooping
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Occasional travel and overnight stay
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license
• Clear background check and drug screening
• Immunizations including Covid 19 vaccine required to work in healthcare facilities

Compensation:

• Starting $18 - $21 per hour based on experience
• It is expected that the employee in this position advances to full Project Manager within a year of training after meeting all requirements (including the ability to perform all duties unassisted and lead projects independently)
