Job Description:

A Yummy Future, a leading provider of hands-on cooking classes promoting health-conscious learning, is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to fill the role of Assistant Program Director. This management and program development position requires a dynamic professional with a bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or a related field, coupled with at least two years of experience in managing a team of 10 and two years in a similar position.

Responsibilities:

1. Training and Staff Development:

• Plan and execute comprehensive training programs for cooking instructors and support staff.

• Oversee ongoing professional development, mentorship, and coaching initiatives.

• Implement performance evaluation processes and identify training needs within the nutrition & culinary education team.

• Lead onboarding programs for new staff, ensuring alignment with organizational values and mission.

2. Program Support (Hands-On Cooking Classes):

• Assist in planning, developing, and executing hands-on cooking classes and related programs.

• Provide administrative support, including communication, scheduling, and coordination tasks.

• Manage logistics for cooking class sessions, ensuring the availability of necessary resources.

• Maintain accurate data related to cooking classes, track metrics, and prepare reports.

• Cultivate positive participant relationships, gather feedback, and contribute to participant engagement.

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation for cooking classes.

3. Communication and Team Collaboration:

• Maintain effective communication with team members, cooking instructors, and participants.

• Collaborate with other departments to integrate training and support initiatives.

• Actively participate in team meetings and cross-functional projects.

4. Problem Resolution and Adherence to Policies:

• Identify and address challenges related to cooking class implementation and participant experience.

• Collaborate on solutions to improve the overall culinary learning experience.

• Ensure strict compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

5. Data Management and Reporting:

• Maintain organized records of staff training, attendance, and performance.

• Prepare reports on the impact of training programs and cooking class activities.

• Support data entry and management within our cooking class databases.

6. Training and Development (Hands-On Cooking Classes):

• Actively participate in relevant training sessions to enhance culinary knowledge and program management skills.

• Stay informed about culinary trends, innovative cooking techniques, and best practices.

• Contribute to the development of training materials and resources for cooking instructors.

7. Additional Responsibilities:

• Contribute creative ideas for enhancing participant engagement and satisfaction.

• Assist in drafting engaging communications, including newsletters and updates related to cooking programs.

• Help create visually appealing materials for culinary presentations or stakeholders.

• Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and projects that enhance our hands-on cooking programs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, business administration, or similar.

• Minimum of two years of experience in managing a team of 10.

• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar position.

• Passion for the organization’s mission in creating health-conscious individuals.

• Strong self-sufficiency, time management, and multitasking skills.

Compensation:

• $26.50 per hour.

Planned Start Date:

Mid-February or Early March

Working Hours:

• Full-time position (40 hours per week).

• Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
