Assistant Operations Manager (UK & Canada Operations)
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to support the Head of Operations in overseeing the daily business operations across the UK and Canada. This role is critical in ensuring that day-to-day processes run efficiently, that cross-functional coordination is smooth, and that clients and partners receive timely, high-quality support.
This is an operational role focused on execution and support.
Operational Support
- Assist with day-to-day operational management for the UK and Canada
- Monitor transactional activity and coordinate reviews with the Compliance team
- Support the implementation of controls and service processes
- Manage basic supplier and vendor communications
- Provide client and partner support, escalating issues as needed
- Execute assigned operational tasks aligned with business needs
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams, including compliance, IT, sales, admin, and marketing
- Ensure tasks and communications are effectively aligned across departments
Business Development Assistance
- Support the identification of new agents or clients
- Assist in preparing proposals and documentation for potential clients
- Help maintain relationships with current agents and ensure service consistency
Market and Administrative Support
- Collect and summarise market intelligence and competitor activity
- Assist in completing administrative tasks such as vendor forms and prequalification processes
- Ensure consistent and professional company representation
Reporting & Oversight
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Operations
- Track and document activities in line with internal KPIs and operational standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience in an Operations role, preferably in fintech, payments, or remittances
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid setting with cross-functional teams
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision

- Exposure to compliance-sensitive industries such as financial services or remittances
- Experience working with vendors, agents, or customer-facing operations
- Familiarity with task-tracking or project management tools
- A background in operations management is advantageous
