Job DescriptionAssistant Operations Manager Education / Youth Project Location: Lewisham, South London Role: Assistant Operations Manager Hours: 2 days per week Start Date: November 2026 Contract: Part-time Ribbons & Reeves are working with an established education and youth-focused organisation in Lewisham to recruit an organised and proactive Assistant Operations Manager . This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the organisation, with responsibility across logistics, recruitment, safeguarding and attendance . The RoleWorking closely with the leadership team, you will help ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations and provide practical support across several key areas. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating day-to-day logistics and operational requirements Supporting with recruitment and hiring , including arranging interviews, onboarding and pre-employment checks Supporting safeguarding processes and administration , ensuring records are accurate and up to date Monitoring and following up on attendance , identifying concerns and escalating where appropriate Maintaining accurate staff and student records Supporting staff with operational queries and resolving day-to-day issues Helping coordinate resources, staffing and activities Supporting the leadership team with general operational and administrative requirements About YouWe're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident working across multiple areas of responsibility . You may have experience in education, alternative provision, youth services, safeguarding, HR, recruitment, school administration or operations . The successful candidate will have: Strong organisational and administrative skills Excellent attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality Experience with recruitment, attendance, compliance or education administration is desirable The ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks A proactive approach and the confidence to use initiative A genuine interest in supporting people and the organisations that work with them The OpportunityThis is a 2-day-per-week position starting in November , offering the opportunity to take on a varied operational role within a specialist organisation supporting people.
