We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Formulation Scientist to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of new and innovative formulations.
Position Summary:
As an Assistant Formulation Scientist, you will support the development, optimization, and scale-up of formulations from concept through commercialization. This hands-on lab-based role is ideal for someone with a passion for experimentation, scientific problem-solving, and contributing to cutting-edge product development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, preparation, and testing of prototype formulations.
Conduct stability studies, physical/chemical evaluations, and compatibility testing.
Maintain accurate lab notebooks, records, and reports in accordance with company SOPs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory Affairs.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure lab safety compliance.
Participate in the documentation process for regulatory submissions and product specifications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience; internships/co-op experience welcome.
Strong understanding of formulation principles and basic analytical techniques.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with laboratory software a plus.
Skills:
Experience with emulsions, suspensions, gels, or other complex formulation types.
Familiarity with GMP/GLP environments.
Exposure to process development or scale-up activities.
