Job DescriptionJob Description
The Export Logistics Coordinator is responsible for activities related to Import and Export shipments (Air and Ocean). Coordinate shipments with suppliers, importers, truckers, and carriers.
Duties
-Plan warehouse distribution.
-Organize transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of to delivery
-Arranging transportation movements and services as necessary such as dangerous goods inspection and -declaration, insuring freight, etc.
-Coordinate and track movement of goods.
-Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low.
-Maintains quality throughout the logistic processes.
-Arrange with freight forwarders regarding exports, ensure all export documentation is completed, negotiate Letters of Credit.
-Coordinating shipment logistics with both suppliers and freight forwarders.
-Tracking, and communicating the shipments progress to clients and freight agents.
-Coordinating and completing customs clearance documentation for clearance on overseas deliveries.
-Comply with customs, export, applicable foreign trade/importation laws, as well as applicable federal transport regulations.
-Timely invoicing and work closely with accounting department to ensure billing accuracy.
-Processes freight claims and customer complaints.
Requirements
2 years experience in logistics ().
Must be detail oriented.
Ability to critically think through multiple-step process and follow up on several details.
High ability to handle multiple priorities without losing details.
Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
Strong Excel skills.
Ability to work under time pressures.
Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Billingual in English and Spanish
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
