Assistant Estimator - Construction/HVAC

We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Estimator to join our team in Ripon, CA! The ideal candidate has HVAC-specific experience in the construction field as an Assistant Estimator. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while developing skills in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist estimators in reviewing plans, specifications, and proposal documents
• Perform takeoffs and organize bid packages
• Provide project support and documentation
• Help coordinate with vendors/subcontractors for quotes
• Data entry, document formatting, and file management
• Manage and track deadlines for estimates and project tasks

Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand mechanical plans (basic level at minimum)
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
• Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Prior experience in construction and HVAC
• Familiarity with estimating or construction management software a bonus

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Reliable transportation to office
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company
• Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and proactive
