Assistant Engineering Manager – Commercial Vehicle Industry Location: Merseyside
Salary: Competitive £50,000 per annum

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Engineering Manager to join a leading commercial vehicle company based in Merseyside. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop their career in a progressive, people-focused organisation.
You will support the Engineering Manager in the day-to-day operation of the depot, ensuring vehicle reliability, team performance, and the highest standards of safety and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the designated onsite person for depot security and safety compliance.
Ensure all team members adhere to safe working practices and environmental standards.
Support the Engineering Manager in all tasks as outlined in the Leader Standard Work document.
Lead and supervise the engineering team to ensure efficient and safe servicing, maintenance, repair, overhaul, and cleaning of vehicles and components.
Plan, allocate, and balance workloads effectively, ensuring clear communication and performance monitoring.
Liaise with Working Chargehands to maintain on-road engineering performance within targets.
Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, quality procedures, and environmental systems.
Undertake any additional tasks as required to support operational and business needs.What We Offer
