Assistant Contracts Manager\n * £25-40,000\n * 23 days holiday plus bank holidays\n * Van\n * Fuel card or mileage allowance\n * Pension\n * Flexible employer and supportive environment\n * Lots of room to progress upwards in the business.\n * Casual dress in the office.\nA privately owned Groundworks Sub-contractor based in Bedfordshire has an opportunity for an Assistant Contracts Manager to join their team.\nThe Company - Groundwork & Civil Engineering Contractor\nIf you are looking to work with a friendly, informal, supportive, and very knowledgeable team then this could be the role for you.\nOur client are a privately owned, well established construction company who specialise in all aspects of ground works and civil engineering throughout the south east of England.\nOperating out of their Head Office in Bedfordshire, they have sites towards Rugby, out along the Thames Valley, down to Crawley and around North and East London\nThey have a fantastic team, are growing, and are looking for a Trainee Contracts Manager who would like to be part of their growth\nThey have built up an excellent reputation, with well known construction companies.\nThey work on a wide range of schemes ranging from £400k - £3m (average project value is £1.5m)\nThe Role - Assistant Contracts Manager\nAs an Assistant Contracts Manager your time will be spilt between office and site, (generally 2 days in the office and 3 on site). You will be trained by the Supervisors on site during your site time, and the Construction Director in the office. You will assist with:\n * Overseeing all aspects of site management on your sites, regularly visiting to inspect, offer support and adherence to agreed program and quality\n * Arrange adequate resources for project delivery, ordering drainage, keeping in touch with suppliers etc.\n * Attend weekly client meetings, taking, issuing, and actioning notes.\nThe right person:\nYou will have some form of construction supervisory experience within the construction industry.\nOr you will work in groundworks and will be looking to move in to a supervisory role
