Position Summary

TheAsset Management Specialist supports the overall management, financial control, and optimization of company-owned and leased assets including trucks, trailers, chassis, and others, across multiple GET Freight locations.
This position coordinates with Operations, HR, Safety, Accounting, and external vendors to ensure all assets remain compliant, properly insured, and operationally ready.
Core duties include invoice verification, maintenance oversight, and insurance administration related to the company fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Repair Invoice Management:
  • Track all repair work orders and invoices from external vendors and clients.
  • Verify completed repairs against work orders, estimates, and asset history before approving billing.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies or incomplete documentation, such as pictures, supplement documents.
  • Maintain organized records of all repair activity and billing logs for recording and reporting purposes.
  1. Asset Tracking & Inventory:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of tractors, trailers, chassis, and containers.
  • Track asset locations across yards and ensure asset statuses (in-service, under repair, inactive, etc.) are up to date.
  1. Vendor Coordination:
  • Act as a point of contact for repair vendors and customers.
  • Schedule or follow up on repair jobs and monitor turnaround times.
  1. Data Management & Reporting:
  • Enter and manage asset and repair data in internal systems, such as spreadsheets, TMSEZ, or fleet management platforms when adapted.
  • Generate reports on various repair cost trends, asset downtime, and maintenance history.
  • Keep documentation complete for inspections, audits, or warranty tracking.
  1. Billing & Cost Analysis:
  • Work with the accounting team and Billing group to validate repair reimbursement.
  • Issue invoices according to the reimbursement amounts.
  • Identify patterns of high-cost repairs and recommend preventive maintenance strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates or bachelors degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12 years of experience in fleet operations, asset management, or vendor billing .
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of repair documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with asset management or fleet maintenance software.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when working with vendors and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of commercial truck/trailer equipment and basic maintenance terminology is a plus.
  • Understanding of DOT/FMCSA repair and maintenance compliance .

Work Environment:

  • Office-based with occasional visits to yard locations.
  • Collaborative role with both field and administrative teams.
