Asset Management Specialist - Civil Engineering
Responsibilities Project Management & Technical Activities Contributes to development of asset management strategies, levels of service and proposed levels of service, risk assessments, vulnerability to climate hazards and financial strategies.Assists in the development of 10-25 year capital plans and assists in defining function requirements and technical standards for new asset management data systems and technologies.Project manages and implements asset programs including rehabilitation and replacement planning, inspections, data collection, and analysis.Conducts infrastructure and special studies to determine infrastructure upgrade and replacement needs.Consolidates data and information from service areas into corporate Asset Management templates and plans.Develops asset management strategies and system design for asset management programming.Reviews asset data information in asset data software and systems for quality assurance and identifies improvement areas.Develops and implements processes for data integrity. Works closely with corporate stakeholders to develop standardized asset data processes. Collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams in all aspect of infrastructure asset management servicesAssists with the preparation of proposals for the provision of asset management services for public and private sector clientsContributes to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees Business travel upon requestLearning & Development Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees. Qualifications What you will need to succeedA degree in engineeringEligible for registration with Professional Engineers OntarioMinimum of 5 years of related professional experienceCertificate in asset management (IAM, NAMS or PEMAC) preferredValid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license Experience Knowledge of relational databases and computerized applications that relate to asset management of water, wastewater, environmental, infrastructure, and transportation projects, including graphical interface such as GIS and CADD systemsExperience in the development and implementation of infrastructure asset data management systems for public and private sector clientsFamiliarity with operational, engineering and financial processes in place at the municipal, provincial and federal government levelExperience in capital planning and financial managementDemonstrated working experience with Ontario Regulation 588/17.Outstanding abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and managementProficient in proposal preparation, project report coordination and presentationsWhy choose DillonDillon is powered by people who are technically proficient, passionate about socially important projects, and motivated to deliver superior, tangible results.
