HIRING BONUS: $2,000
Mechanic - Night & Day Shift - MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES
Day Shift: 6:45am - 7:00pm (Thurs, Fri, Sat + every other Wed)
Night Shift: 6:45pm - 7:00am (Wed, Thurs, Fri + every other Sat)
12-hour shift perks:
- OT pay on the 4th+day for the longer week
- DT pay on the 5th day for the longer week.
- 10 hour monthly attendance bonus (perfect attendance = 10 hours of pay added on the 1st check of each month, vacation time use does not deduct from perfect attendance bonus)
- Quarterly production bonus based on 75% campus performance | 25% individual participation in monthly safety training (occurs during work hours as a group)
Position Summary
Maintains electrical and electro-mechanical production machinery to ensure machines operate properly and within set specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Repairs, performs maintenance, sets up and troubleshoots production machinery independently.
- Reads inspection gauges.
- Performs record-keeping duties.
- Communicates engineering issues and creates work requests.
- May issues parts to machines and record in SAP.
- Performs safety checks on production machinery and is responsible for following lockout procedures.
- Monitors multiple high-speed assembly machines and acts as a backup to Operator.
- May train new Assembly Mechanic I at direction of management.
- Performs various housekeeping duties for machine and plant optimization.
- Performs/meets the requirements of BRC/GMP/ISO in all job activities.
Qualifications
Education:
HS Degree or GED
Requirements:
- Must have knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Must be able to work as a member of a team, have high energy level and be able to work well under pressure.
- Must have good vision to perform visual inspection duties.
- Must be able to discern shades of and relating to component parts used in the manufacturing process.
- Must be a certified Operator I and possess a clear understanding of running a machine for set up.
- Must have mechanical skills/aptitude (as determined by testing).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift, one (1) to two (2) times every four (4) hours.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend, twist, turn, grasp, push, pull and crouch continuously throughout the shift.
- Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulders.
- Must be able to climb steps.
- Must be able to hear warning signals/verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to effectively communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues.
- Must be able to read various inspection gauges.
- Must possess basic math and PC skills.
- Must obtain minimum of Associate’s degree and/or Technical Certification within reasonable amount of time from accredited technical program or applicable years of experience.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this position is: Up to $40.00/hour plus any applicable shift differential.
