Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Assembler/Welder to join a growing manufacturing team specializing in the assembly and fabrication of commercial truck equipment. This position is responsible for assembling mechanical components, fitting fabricated parts, and performing quality MIG welds while ensuring all work meets production and safety standards.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing high-quality products.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assemble truck bodies, equipment, and mechanical components according to blueprints and work instructions.
- Perform MIG welding on steel components to meet quality and production standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and production drawings.
- Install brackets, hardware, panels, and other fabricated components.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, drills, and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed assemblies and welds for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and manufacturing standards.
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Assist with other manufacturing and assembly tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or welding experience .
- Experience with MIG welding required.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
