We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality standards. The Construction Estimator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide detailed estimates that support the successful execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.

Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create precise estimates.

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.

Assess the cost-effectiveness of various construction methods and materials.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations outlining estimated costs and project timelines.

Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing.

Monitor ongoing projects for cost control, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and regulations affecting construction costs.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of building processes and materials.

Proficiency in using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data related to construction costs.

Strong negotiation skills with experience in contract management.

Familiarity with project management principles and practices.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to stakeholders.
