A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time, exempt Post-Doc Clinic Operations Manager on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position is responsible for the clinical operations and the workflow management of the Post-Doc Clinic.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and effective chair utilization.
- Coordinate scheduling of dental assistant staff to support students and , aligning with clinical and academic needs.
- Assist with developing and implementing operational protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory, equipment maintenance, and supply chain logistics in cooperation with the inventory & dispensary departments.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate dental assistants and other clinical support staff.
- Monitor front desk vendor (Triton) staff to ensure clinic protocols are being followed.
- Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment focused on quality service and professionalism.
- Coordinate ongoing training in clinical systems, operational processes, and customer service.
- Monitor front-desk operations, patient intake, scheduling, and customer service processes, and address any issues with third-party vendors.
- Resolve escalated patient concerns and ensure timely response to complaints or service issues.
- Promote a patient-centered culture that aligns with the institution's values and mission.
- Collaborate with billing and finance teams to ensure accurate coding, charge capture, and collections.
- Monitor revenue cycle metrics, including claims submission, denials, and accounts receivable performance.
- Monitor and oversee clinic budgets and cost-efficiency efforts.
- Monitor, track, and report on all non-patient revenue sources (i.e., grants, donations, collaborations, government funding).
- Oversee the management, reporting, and auditing of patient ledgers in the electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Train dental assistants and operational staff on the proper use of clinical systems and technologies.
- Act as the liaison between the clinic tech department and clinic operations for EHR system issues and needs.
- Ensure clinic operations comply with OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and all relevant regulatory standards.
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives, infection control audits, and incident response.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for inspections, accreditation, and reporting purposes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- College degree required.

- Experience in managing student and clinics within an academic institution.
- Familiarity with CODA accreditation and dental school clinic structures.
