ASALA Program Manager

Reports to:Chief Operations & Program Officer

Status:Full-time, Exempt

Salary Range:$45,000 $50,000 (commensuratewith experience)

Position Summary

The ASALA Program Manager leads the planning, implementation, and performance of the Arts, Science & Leadership Academy (ASALA). This role ensures high-quality youth programming, effective coordination of program staff, accurate program data, and full compliance with grant and organizational requirements.

Core Responsibilities

Program Operations

  • Oversee daily implementation of ASALA programming, including afterschool and summer programming.
  • Maintain program schedules, staffing assignments, and classroom coverage.
  • Ensure programs operate in alignment with ART INC protocols and program standards.

Staff Supervision

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and accountability for Site Leads, Teaching Artists, and interns delivering program services.
  • Establish clear expectations for staff roles, schedules, and program responsibilities.
  • Address performance concerns promptly and escalate issues to leadership when necessary.

Program Systems & Compliance

  • Ensure attendance and participant data are entered accurately in program systems (Sawyer, Cornerstone, etc.).
  • Review program data regularly tomaintainreporting accuracy.
  • Ensure incident reports and documentation are completed according to protocol.

ProgramQuality & Community Engagement

  • Maintain positive relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners.
  • Respond to program concerns and ensure issues are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support continuous program improvement through feedback, evaluation, and data review.

Pathways Worksite

  • Serve as the worksite supervisor for Pathways interns placed within ASALA programs.
  • Provideday-to-day guidance on workplace expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Education, Youth Development, Arts Education, ora relatedfield.
  • 35 years of experience managing youth programs, afterschool initiatives, or community-based programs.
  • Experience supervising staff or program facilitators.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
