POSITION SUMMARY

The Area Manager of Retail Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily business activities, performance, and compliance of multiple retail locations within Isanti, LLC. This position ensures that all stores operate efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with company standards, values, and customer service expectations. The Area Manager plays a key leadership role in developing Store Managers, maintaining site-level accountability, and implementing retail strategies across locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but are not limited to:

• Supervise and support Store Managers across all assigned retail locations.
• Monitor store operations to ensure compliance with company policies, tribal and state regulations, and safety procedures.
• Review store-level sales, labor costs, and inventory reports to drive financial performance.
• Conduct regular site visits and operational audits across locations.
• Address escalated customer concerns and employee issues.
• Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of Annual Operating Plans (AOPs) in alignment with enterprise goals.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and development of Store Managers and frontline staff in coordination with HR.
• Lead store-level improvement initiatives, promotional activities, and community engagement.
• Assist with new store location development and launching, including planning, staffing, merchandising setup, and soft/hard openings.
• Oversee inventory control processes including ordering, receiving, and shrink prevention.
• Assist in store openings, closings, or leadership transitions as directed.
• Maintain scheduling consistency and labor planning to meet operational demands.
• Ensure employee appearance, conduct, and attendance standards are upheld.
• All other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field .

EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years of multi-site retail or convenience store management experience.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing budgets, staffing plans, and retail operations.
• Familiarity with tribal enterprise operations .

LICENSES and/or CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver's license
• Must pass a background check and drug test

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and retail reporting systems.
• Knowledge of POS systems, back-office software, inventory control, and merchandising best practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.
• Ability to plan.
• Willingness to travel frequently between store locations.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Retail, office, and field-based work environments.
• Travel between Isanti business units (up to 75% of the time).
• Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on operational needs.
