Location: Southend-on-Sea

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 DOE



Aztrum is proud to be partnering with a respected, award-winning architectural studio based in Southend-on-Sea, celebrated for its refined, design-led approach to residential architecture. As the practice continues its steady growth, they are seeking a talented and detail-driven Architect to join their close-knit team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys shaping beautifully crafted homes from concept to completion, combining creative vision with technical precision. Proficiency in Vectorworks and SketchUp is essential, alongside a well-rounded understanding of buildability and construction detail. Offering a flexible hybrid working model and a collaborative studio culture, this role suits an architect who values design quality, thoughtful process, and meaningful residential work.



Key Responsibilities for this Architect role:

 • Lead design development through all RIBA work stages, from early feasibility to final delivery.

• Deliver a broad range of residential projects, including bespoke homes, heritage refurbishments, and modern extensions.

• Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to realise projects that align with brief, budget, and timeline.

• Produce high-quality technical drawings and documentation using Vectorworks and SketchUp.

 • Conduct site visits to oversee construction and ensure build quality meets the studio’s high standards.



Key Requirements for this Architect role:

 • ARB-registered Architect with a recognised architectural qualification.

• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience with a strong portfolio of bespoke residential work.

• Proficient in Vectorworks and SketchUp; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.

• Excellent eye for detail and a passion for designing homes that marry form with function.

• Solid understanding of UK planning policy and building regulations.

 • Team-oriented mindset and a genuine commitment to producing thoughtful, people-centred architecture.
