NOW HIRING An apprentice electrician:

The Apprentice Electrician will be responsible for installing electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of residential and commercial solar PV systems. The Apprentice Electrician will work alongside solar crews to troubleshoot PV systems and resolve electrical issues. Out-of-state travel will be required for this position.

What will I do?

• Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of residential and light commercial solar PV systems.
• Troubleshoot PV systems and resolve electrical issues.
• Collect and transport all materials necessary for the timely completion of assigned projects.
• Ensure all assigned projects are installed according to all applicable codes.
• Aid in testing electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development, or operation activities.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
• Record parts, materials, labor, and other cost data per project on work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, perform job site cleanup, and return unused resources.
• Safely operate hand and power tools while working on projects.
• Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
• Travel to residential and business sites according to an established schedule.
• Provide consistent delivery of excellent service and quality work, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of the Electrical Code (NEC) and best practices for electrical wiring, amperage, voltage, wattage, installing PVC, pulling wire, and using a multimeter.

Position requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Current enrollment or willingness to enroll in an accredited electrical apprenticeship or other technical program is required.
• A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record are required.
