Application Maintenance Engineer

Job DescriptionJob Description

Position Summary:

At Health Precision, we’re not just building software—we’re transforming the way healthcare is delivered. Our flagship platform, The Medical Brain, leverages real-time AI to empower clinicians, streamline care, and save lives. As we expand rapidly, we are seeking an Application Maintenance Engineer with deep expertise in Windows systems, .NET development, and application lifecycle management. You will be working hands-on with the source code and architecture of mission-critical Windows clients, driving improvements, automation, and system resiliency at scale.

You’ll be solving mission-critical problems, working shoulder-to-shoulder with brilliant colleagues and top-tier healthcare clients, and ensuring that our platform remains robust, secure, and responsive under real-world conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and evolve a high-performance, custom-built .NET Windows Application client, including architecture, performance tuning, and system integration.
  • Architect robust configuration mechanisms using Computer Vision, geometry-aware algorithms, RegEx engines, and network stack analysis.
  • Design fault-tolerant update and deployment pipelines, interfacing with CMDB systems (iTop) and configuration automation (PHP, scripting).
  • Operate and tune distributed services in Kubernetes: RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Loki, Tempo, Grafana.
  • Build GitOps-first deployment systems supporting multi-service orchestration, progressive delivery, and rollback strategies.
  • Integrate QA/test automation into CI pipelines with deep metrics and failure diagnostics.
  • Identify, triage, and resolve performance bottlenecks using memory profiling, network tracing, and system diagnostics across OS layers.
  • Build automated monitoring, alerting, and diagnostics systems to support SLO-driven reliability.
  • Contribute to overall software lifecycle improvements, from design to automated testing and observability.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in C#/.NET Framework/Core with deep understanding of WinForms/WPF and Windows APIs.
  • Strong low-level knowledge of Windows internals (process lifecycle, memory model, registry, COM, interprocess communication).
  • Demonstrated expertise in Computer Vision (OpenCV, EmguCV, or custom CV pipelines).
  • Strong in data structures, regex parsing, geometry, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience in network protocol analysis (Wireshark, Fiddler) and custom network handlers.
  • Familiarity with deployment automation systems; knowledge of iTop, basic PHP, and REST APIs.
  • Experience shipping large-scale client software with high uptime requirements.
  • Security-aware engineering mindset (sandboxing, hardening, secure updates).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
  • Prior work in industries with critical client-side systems (e.g., finance, healthcare, logistics).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
