Application Engineer in Batavia
Job Description
Role Responsibilities:
\n
-Provide technical expertise to other applications engineers, sales force and customers.
\n
-Communicate with the customers in a professional, effective and timely manner.
\n
-Provide feasibility evaluations and reports, quotes and other necessary information to meet customers’ expectations.
\n
-Create and maintain documentation necessary for product development and manufacturing that conforms to ISO standards and TQM practices.
\n
-Manage multiple projects concurrently.
\n
-Communicate effectively to Manager regarding the progress on scheduled projects, progress on achieving goals, and the results of any research conducted.
\n
-Work and communicate effectively with other groups within the engineering department, division and corporation (as well as with outside suppliers) in a positive manner to achieve timely and cost-effective deliveries.
\n
-Test and de-bug final tools prior to run-off with customers.
\n
-Travel to customers’ facilities to assist in product design.
\n
-Assist in post-sales start up at customers’ facilities.
\n
-Prevent and resolve customer problems.
\n
Qualifications:
\n
-Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
\n
-Ideally relevant , co-op or hands-on engineering experience
\n
-Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
\n
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical issues and determine appropriate solutions
\n
-Ability to work through testing, troubleshooting and debugging of equipment, tooling and parts
\n
-Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal teams
\n
-Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining timelines and communicating progress
\n
-Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality and external suppliers.
\n
-Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
\n
-Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% domestically and internationally to customer facilities
\n
-Self-motivated individual who is willing to learn, ask questions and take ownership of assigned projects
