LUMICKS is looking for a Cell Avidity Application & Business Development Scientist to join our US Commercial Team. You will get a unique opportunity to be closely involved in the business development and sales process of a rapid growing international business. You will work closely together with the local sales team and global product team and together you are responsible for the driving adoption of LUMICKS Cell avidity technologies and ensuring customer success. You will be an important player in the team and will report to the BD and FAS Manager. This person has an important role in ensuring you are driven in your role of developing new business and delivering the best and most efficient results, resulting in happy new and existing customers.
What are my tasks & responsibilities?
- Leverage scientific expertise to drive excitement and adoption of LUMICKS Cell Avidity technologies
- Work closely with the local sales team during both pre- and post-sales to develop new business opportunities, ensure technical qualification of opportunities, and provide continual support to ensure customer success
- Visit research labs and scientific meetings to present LUMICKS technologies with the objective of creating a solution fit that provides the highest possible value to the customers research
- Perform on-site scientific demonstrations and experiments using LUMICKS Cell Avidity technologies on a wide variety of biological systems with the goal of driving sales opportunities
- Support development of marketing materials including brochures, application notes, product data sheets and technical presentations
- Support customers with in-depth training and application support on their LUMICKS instruments to ensure ongoing customer success
- Act as the interface between R&D and the customer, helping facilitate the development of new applications with key opinion leaders and supporting testing of products in development
What about my skills & competencies?
- A PhD in biology, biomedical sciences, or a related program with a focus on immunology, cell therapy, or a similar field
- 2+ years of experience in a relevant research environment
- Extensive experience with biological applications and immunological techniques such as assay preparation, cell handling (such as cell culturing) and microscopy
- Motivated to learn new advanced microscopy and biophysical techniques unique to LUMICKS systems
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills with a diverse audience is critical
- Willingness to travel within the continent (frequently) as well as globally (occasionally) and possession of a valid passport
- Travel indication: up to 50%
