Job Summary: We are seeking a certified API 510/570 Inspector to join our inspection team and support mechanical integrity programs for pressure vessels and piping systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in performing code-compliant inspections, interpreting damage mechanisms, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and client standards. This role is essential for maintaining safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of critical process equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal and external inspections of pressure vessels (API 510) and piping systems (API 570) in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Evaluate corrosion rates, remaining life calculations, and fitness-for-service assessments.
  • Generate accurate inspection reports, isometric sketches, and recommendations for repair, replacement, or continued service.
  • Coordinate with plant personnel, engineers, and contractors to plan and execute inspections during turnarounds and routine maintenance.
  • Review and verify weld documentation, previous inspection records, and inspection intervals.
  • Monitor repairs, modifications, and rerating activities to ensure they meet code requirements.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining mechanical integrity programs, inspection plans, and risk-based inspection (RBI) strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes (API, ASME, NBIC), client specifications, and jurisdictional regulations.
  • Maintain inspection documentation and support audits from regulatory bodies or clients.

Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:

  • API 510 and API 570 certifications in good standing.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in pressure equipment inspection or mechanical integrity.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, B31.1/B31.3, and related codes.
  • Experience with inspection techniques including visual, UT, RT, PT, MT, and thickness measurement.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and isometrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, report tools).

:

  • Additional certifications such as API 653, AWS CWI, or NDE Level II (UTT, MT, PT).
  • Experience with RBI software, CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo), or data management tools.
  • Experience in regulated industries (refining, petrochemical, power , etc.).
  • TWIC card and ability to work in secure/refinery environments.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in hot or cold environments.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE and pass site-specific safety training and drug screening.
