Analytical Chemist

NES Fircroft are hiring an Analytical Chemist working for our client who are dedicated to improving global agriculture through science, innovation, and technology. Every day, their work helps farmers produce food more sustainably – and you can play a part in that mission.



We’re looking for an Analytical Chemist to join the Manchester site, working at the forefront of chromatographic and analytical characterisation techniques. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of agrochemical innovation by ensuring we deeply understand the properties and quality of our materials and products.



What you’ll do



Prepare and analyse samples using GC, HPLC, and other advanced analytical techniques



Interpret and present data to teams across chemistry, formulation, and manufacturing



Tackle complex problems with creativity and deliver original, practical solutions



Prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines



Actively collaborate across departments to deliver reliable, high-quality results



What we’re looking for



A degree in Chemistry (PhD or strong analytical experience is a plus)



Hands-on experience with GC and HPLC; knowledge of LC-MS, GC-MS, or spectrophotometry is an advantage



Strong communication and problem-solving skills



A curious, detail-oriented mindset and the flexibility to adapt in a changing environment
