Analyst 1, Customer Contract Administration (Contract Operations Analyst) – Tempe, AZ

Pay Rate: $32.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Pacific Time

Position Overview

The Contract Operations Analyst supports BD's commercial contract and pricing activation processes by managing customer contract implementation, membership maintenance, pricing eligibility, group transitions, and contract administration activities. This role works closely with distributors, Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), sales teams, commercial operations, and customers to ensure accurate contract execution and pricing activation across multiple business segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Letters of Commitment (LOC), Customer Set-Up & Maintenance (CS&M), GPO group transitions, and local contract implementations for both new and renewal agreements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to pricing activation, membership eligibility, and contract administration.
  • Collaborate with distributors, GPOs, sales teams, commercial operations teams, and customers to ensure contract accuracy and timely implementation.
  • Manage pricing activation transitions, ensuring accurate member alignment and effective date setup.
  • Process customer account additions, removals, and membership updates across multiple ERP systems.
  • Generate and distribute dealer notifications regarding contract pricing changes and membership updates.
  • Maintain contract documentation, pricing exception records, and contracting playbooks.
  • Identify agreements requiring modifications due to GPO transitions and coordinate updates with contracting teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements and automation opportunities.
  • Participate in distributor and stakeholder meetings to resolve contract execution and pricing-related issues.
  • Monitor and achieve established KPIs, SLAs, and performance goals.
  • Assist with contract loading, testing, validation, and implementation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards, and pricing strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in contract operations, contract administration, pricing operations, customer operations, sales operations, business operations, or related fields.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Pivot Tables
    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
    • Data analysis and manipulation
    • Reporting and large dataset management
  • Experience analyzing data and generating actionable business insights.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems such as:
    • SAP
    • Vistex
    • JD Edwards (JDE)
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools:
    • SAP Business Intelligence (SAP BI)
    • Power BI
    • QlikView
  • Knowledge of contract lifecycle management, pricing administration, membership management, or GPO environments.
  • Experience with process automation tools and workflow optimization.
