Job Title: AMT (Advanced Manufacturing Technology) Automation Technician
Reports To: Automation Mechanical Engineer or Department Manager

Primary Function:
This role supports the design, assembly, and maintenance of automation systems and equipment. This role assists engineers in machine setup, fixture and tooling preparation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting for automation projects, contributing to efficient system deployment and ongoing operation within a manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the mechanical and electrical assembly of manual, semi-auto, and automated equipment.
- Set up automation fixtures, jigs, and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) per engineering designs.
- Conduct equipment functionality tests and support debug, repair, and upgrades of automation systems.
- Maintain and calibrate sensors, actuators, and pneumatic/hydraulic components used in automation.
- Monitor equipment during run-off, SAT, and FAT testing to validate performance.
- Document system configurations, repairs, and updates as directed by engineering staff.
- Follow engineering instructions, blueprints, and BOMs to execute assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and production staff on installation projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education
- Completion of a two-year technical college program with an associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, Automation, or a related field.
Required Experience
- 1–3 years in a manufacturing or automation environment, with hands-on experience supporting machinery and automated systems.
