Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Ammonia Maintenance Technician role in Wilsonville, OR. Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, and control systems.

Monitor system pressures, temperatures, and levels to maintain proper refrigeration performance.

Safely handle ammonia and other refrigerants in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.

Assist in startup, shutdown, and emergency response procedures for refrigeration equipment.

Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, maintenance, and system performance data.

Collaborate with maintenance teams, production staff, and management to minimize downtime and improve system efficiency.

Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, including PPE use and emergency response readiness.

Support compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) requirements.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial refrigeration or HVAC .

2+ years of experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems or industrial HVAC.

Knowledge of refrigeration principles, system components, and safety protocols.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotation as needed.

PSM/RMP knowledge or prior training is a plus (additional training may be provided).
