Fredericksburg Glass is a commercial glazed curtain wall & exterior panels subcontractor. We are seeking to grow our team and hire an experienced skilled Project Manager/Estimator. Candidate must have 3-5 years work history in this specialized field. Our company specializes in hospitals, schools, medical office buildings, college and university buildings. 

Duties:
- Analyze project specifications and architectural plans to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with team project manager, to gather necessary information
- Utilize construction management software, Procore, Microsoft Office, Blue Beam etc.
- Create detailed project proposals including labor, materials, and equipment costs
- Conduct on-site visits to construction sites for assessment and data collection
- Review schematics and technical drawings to understand project requirements
- Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as needed
- Ensure projects are completed within budget constraints

This is a full-time office role for a Construction Project Manager/Estimator at Fredericksburg Glass and Mirror. The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for coordination and managing construction projects, including budgeting, construction management, and project management tasks. The role will require working on-site at our Fredericksburg, VA location.

This is a "Hands-On Self Preforming" position. Expect to be required to perform tasks including, but not limited to:

• Material quote requests of optimized material for major material items to our suppliers
• "Shake out" and review supplier quotes for accuracy and identifying all costs involved
• Put together detailed Purchase Orders.
• Work orders for Draftsman Shop Drawings and review for compliance with contract documents
• In depth shop and field work orders for our Shop Manager and Field Supervisors
• Supporting APM support team member is responsible for submittal preparation and submission under the guidance and directive of the project manager.

• Strong understanding of project management principles

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Experience in the glazing industry is a plus
• Reading Comprehension of Architectural Floor Plans, Details, and Specifications relative to our Products, and Shop Drawings is

Salary and Benefits Information

• Base Salary: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year. Based on experience. Negotiable.
• 75% Employer Paid Major Medical Health Plan, including a Rider for Life, Vision & Dental to be picked up at Employees expense
• $10 Per Week Toward Using Your Personal Cell Phone for Company Use= $520/Year.

• This is an In Office Position, (no remote work). Going to Jobsite's is rare. If a company vehicle is unavailable at the time, FGM will pay $.45 per mile for company related business when you use your personal vehicle to visit Jobsite's, GC's or Architects.
• Work Schedule: M-Th 6:30am -4:00 PM (9 1/2 hour days), Friday's 6:30am - 3:00 PM (8 1/2 hour day) Each day 1/2 hour lunch.

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Equivalent Field Experience from Field Installation/Shop Fabrication on the job experience.
- Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines
- Ability to interpret construction plans and blueprints accurately
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in cost estimation
- Knowledge of build processes and construction techniques
