Job Summary:
Integrated Fire & Security Solutions (IFSS), Fort Myers branch, is seeking a motivated and dependable Alarm Installation Technician to support our Installation and Operations Department. This role focuses primarily on fire alarm system installations and offers an opportunity to contribute to life safety and property protection in commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install conduit, wiring, and devices for various low-voltage systems, with a primary focus on fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with team members and other trades to ensure coordinated and efficient field operations.
• Interpret blueprints and update as-built documentation as needed.
• Apply knowledge of current Electrical Code (NEC) and Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards during installations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the low-voltage industry, with demonstrated proficiency in fire alarm systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with NEC and NFPA codes and standards applicable to fire alarm installations.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and with external stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High level of dependability and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing tasks to completion with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation:

• $22.00/hr - $26.00/hr (based on experience).

This pay range reflects the base compensation rate Fortis Fire & Safety reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and skillset. This role is also eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, pet insurance, short term/long term , etc...
