SUMMARY

The individual in this role is the customer’s primary contact for obtaining support for both technical and non-technical situations relating to all products. Responsible for facilitating an effective resolution to ensure that the customers every need is addressed in a comprehensive, professional, and timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the customer to troubleshoot, analyze, and recommend corrective action for system and component malfunctions, defects and related problems.
  • Provide guidance to customers on complex technical tasks and proper installation, service, repair replacement, and modification and maintenance of equipment and/or systems which are part of or are used in conjunction with all company products.
  • Provide customers with onsite technical support as requested and approved.
  • Able to satisfactorily resolve a customer issue when it dictates liaise with the relevant internal company departments.
  • Provide technical assistance after hours and on weekends.
  • Provide weekly status of technical discrepancies.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Review and proof technical and certification documentation for accuracy and completeness; Service Letters, Bulletins and other technical and/or certification information.
  • Provide recommended corrections and/or updates to Publications as required.
  • Responsible for initial / recurrent training requirements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide on-the-job training, as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related discipline or combination of 5+ years of related experience and/or training plus education.
  • 5+ years Auxiliary Fuel System experience or equivalent .
  • Familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s).
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across many different groups.
  • Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software and other company and discipline specific software applications.
  • Strong team player with ability to operate independently and as part of a team in remote locations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours, when needed.

SKILLS

  • Read, write and understand the English .
  • Read, analyze, and interpret complex regulatory documents, technical documents, engineering drawings, regulations, procedures and manuals.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret technical data, ie; engineering drawings, technical orders, reports, and process standards.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Repairman’s or Airframe & Powerplant licenses strongly .

TRAVEL

  • Occasional travel may be required; the employee filling this position must be willing to travel on short notice and possibly for extended periods.

  • Standard office environments.
  • Exposure to noise, smells, dust and fumes typically associated in an aviation environment.
  • Close proximity to several industrial hazards including electrical, mechanical and chemical.
