Nelson Permanent Placements are seeking an experienced Air Compressor Engineer to join a growing service team delivering high-quality support to a nationwide client base, including major blue-chip organisations.\n\nBased predominantly in the Midlands with travel as required, this is a hands-on, field-based role working Monday to Friday. You will play a key role in maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and installing oil-flooded and oil-free compressed air systems, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently delivered.\n\nKey Responsibilities of this role as an Air Compressor Engineer you will be:\n\n * Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on both oil-flooded and oil-free compressed air systems.\n\n * Performing precise mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis.\n\n * Installing and commissioning compressed air equipment when needed.\n\n * Accurately completing service reports and other documentation using paperless systems.\n\n * Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship at all times.\n\n * Developing and sustaining strong client relationships through professional service delivery.\n\n * Spotting opportunities to improve processes and expand service support.\n\n * Collaborating effectively with colleagues across service and management teams.\n\nTo be considered for this role as an Air Compressor Engineer you will be:\n\n * Proven experience in a similar compressed air engineering position.\n\n * Skilled in both mechanical and electrical fault-finding.\n\n * Confident working independently in a field-based role.\n\n * Professional, customer-oriented, with excellent communication skills.\n\n * Willing to travel across the UK as required.\n\n * OEM-trained (desirable).\n\n * Electrically qualified (desirable).\n\n * Familiar with oil-free compressors (advantageous).\n\n * F-Gas certified (advantageous).\n\n * Experienced with N₂/O₂ systems, dryers or central control systems (advantageous).\n\n * Comfortable using digital reporting tools and systems.\n\nBenefits of an Air Compressor Engineer:\n\n * Competitive salary\n\n * Generous holiday entitlement plus celebration days\n\n * Healthcare cash plan and 24/7 GP helpline\n\n * Employee assistance programme\n\n * Cycle-to-work scheme\n\n * Employee referral bonus\n\n * Company events, awards and recognition for long service\n\n * Provided workwear\n\nHow to Apply:\n\nThis vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Nelson Permanent Placements Ltd.
