MBN Solutions are supporting an Applied AI start-up, based in San Francisco to find their next AI Engineering Lead.

The company builds the next of personal AI—private, user-owned, and designed to run directly on people’s devices.

They require an AI technical leader (former CTO or senior tech lead of a consumer AI product) who shares our passion for privacy and user sovereignty.

You’ll lead application development across desktop, mobile, and future platforms, shaping how individuals interact with their own AI.

You’ll thrive here if you have:

✅ Experience deploying AI in real-world consumer products

✅ Strong grasp of modern model architectures, quantization & on-device optimization

✅ Hands-on familiarity with the open-source AI stack (e.g. lightweight inference runtimes, device-level ML frameworks)

✅ Deep knowledge of app ecosystems (especially Apple platforms)

✅ Background in system-level programming & performance tuning

✅ A product-minded, user-first approach

Bonus points for:

⭐ Contributions to open-source or research in AI/ML

⭐ Experience with trusted execution, enclaves, or privacy-preserving ML
