Summary/Objective

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Field Service Technician to provide expert on-site maintenance for our customers' sophisticated equipment, with a strong emphasis on industrial electrical systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the independent installation, meticulous testing, thorough troubleshooting, and efficient repair of our technology.

You will gain in-depth knowledge of WiseConn's engineered hardware and software systems to accurately answer technical questions and adequately serve customers. You'll also develop a comprehensive understanding of our advanced solutions to provide precise technical support and exceptional customer service, achieving outstanding customer satisfaction and cultivating robust confidence in equipment performance after each service engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to job sites to expertly troubleshoot and install proprietary hardware, including wiring into pumps, industrial electrical panels, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), weather stations, valves, pressure switches, and transformers.
  • Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing of electronic equipment.
  • Proficiently interpret and utilize electrical schematics for troubleshooting, installation, and repair of WiseConn's proprietary hardware and industrial electrical systems.
  • Apply exceptional attention to detail to accurately identify issues, complete comprehensive and precise reports on all repairs and installations, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Maintain and operate company equipment, tools, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all instructions and safety protocols.
  • Maintain current and accurate records of assigned inventory hardware, materials, and safety equipment.
  • Utilize strong time-management skills to efficiently manage service appointments, adhere to schedules, and maximize productivity with minimal supervision.
  • Accurately track all maintenance and repairs in our company database, ensuring detailed and retrievable information.
  • Adhere to all company procedures and safety policies, demonstrating a commitment to a safe working environment.

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience independently performing repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, with a strong emphasis on industrial electrical panels and control systems.
  • Significant experience utilizing diagnostic tools and software for electrical troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on electrical experience, with specific and demonstrable experience working with industrial electrical panels.
  • Demonstrated strong time-management skills and the ability to independently plan, prioritize, and execute tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service and a professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental technical skills.
  • Associate’s Degree or Electrical Certification (highly ).
  • Willingness to travel and undertake overnight stays as required to meet customer needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly understand customer issues and effectively explain technical information in an understandable manner.
  • Ability to independently determine the necessary tools and equipment required to complete the scope of work efficiently and accurately.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both within a team and, more importantly, independently with minimal to no direct supervision, demonstrating strong self-motivation and initiative.
  • Experience in the Agriculture industry (beneficial).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (, but not required).
  • Work authorization: United States (Required).
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
