Agentic AI Architect (Onsite in Auburn Hills MI)

Our client located in Auburn Hills, MI is looking to bring aboard an AI Architect to join their team on a long term contract basis. This individual will be an experienced and innovative Agentic AI Architect to lead the design and development of advanced AI agent systems using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its Vertex AI suite. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with a strong background in designing autonomous AI systems that incorporate reasoning, planning, and complex orchestration using large models (LLMs).Other responsibilities will include:

• Design and implement AI agent architectures using Vertex AI (Gemini, PaLM, Codey)
• Build and deploy AI agents using LangChain and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Develop scalable, production-ready AI systems using GCP services such as Vertex AI Pipelines, Matching Engine, and AI Platform
• Implement multi-agent systems with advanced reasoning, planning, and tool integration
• Design vector databases and optimize embedding systems for retrieval-augmented (RAG)
• Integrate AI agents with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems
• Establish MLOps best practices for deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement

The ideal candidate will have professional experience the following skills:

• Hands-on experience with Google Vertex AI (Gemini Pro/Ultra, PaLM 2, Codey, Imagen)
• Deep knowledge of agentic AI methodologies: ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, Tree of Thoughts, etc.
• Proficiency with LangChain, LangGraph, and similar orchestration frameworks
• Familiarity with MCP for agent communication
• Skills in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model optimization
• Google Cloud Platform:
• Proficient with Vertex AI Workbench, Pipelines, and Model Registry
• Experience with serverless solutions: Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, App Engine
• BigQuery for analytics and data pipelines
• Familiar with Cloud Storage, Firestore, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Logging, and Monitoring
• Advanced programming in Python (5+ years)
• Web API development using FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Deployment Manager)
• Source control using Git and CI/CD with Cloud Build or GitHub Actions
