DescriptionJob Title: Advanced Apprentice Assembly Engineering TechnicianLocation: Hillend (Dunfermline)Salary:  Starting from £18,848 with annual progression through the scheme duration.What you’ll be doing:Manufacture, test, diagnosis, investigation, repair and modification of complex Radar, Avionics and underwater military products.Gain a detailed understanding of assembly techniques, electrical wiring, mechanical fitting, printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and microelectronics processing.Upon successful completion of the Assembly and Test Engineering Apprenticeship the apprentice will be able to perform complex assembly/disassembly or modification tasks to industry standards such as IPC and ANSIJ on electronic or mechanical components, subassemblies and systems – encompassing new build, repairs products or prototype products.What Qualification will you get?Level 6 SVQ Engineering ManufactureLevel 6 SVQ Modern ApprenticeshipAt the end of the apprenticeship, you will obtain a nationally recognised Apprenticeship Completion Certificate.Benefits:As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing & lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The Maritime Team:With collaboration, innovation and a laser-like customer focus at its core, M&L Defence Solutions is growing a strong, long-term UK product and support business.
