About Material Change
Material Change Limited has over 18 years experience in recycling and energy industry. We operate and manage 11 Anaerobic Digestion plants across the UK processing more than 380,000t of organic material and food waste to generate renewable gas, electricity and CO2. We clear and sell over 500,000t of chicken litter as a renewable feedstock and fertilizer replacement. With 6 compost sites across the Midlands and East of England we provide quality assured and farm grade Compost, Mulch and Bark to landscapers, Gardeners, Local Farmers and Local Authorities.

We are seeking an experienced AD Site Manager to manage our Helmdon AD Plant.
Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
- Managing and setting daily operations planning for the site including creating feedstock plans, operator tasks and any site movements.
- Manage the interactions with grid, Ofgem and Elster (not exhaustive) to ensure compliance.
- Take responsibility for working with the Compliance Manager on Environmental matters and the EA.
- Liaise with the Technical Manager on Ofgem, feedstock, additives etc.
- Work with the Area Manager to set, review and control Budget and P&L costs.
- Manage and control the Spares list and physical spares on site to ensure the system is kept up to date and correct.
- Respond to various issues on the plant in a timely manner to arrange resolutions to ensure the high output of the Site.
- Take responsibility on reporting plant performance, completing the daily report and take the lead on weekly calls.
- Day to day operations of the AD plant including completing the daily feed sheets and daily check sheets.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping across the site and manage the team to ensure a high level of productivity.
- Feeding AD hopper with feedstock
- Support visitors on the weighbridge and monitor weighbridge records.
- Assist with the movement of materials around site if required to manage feedstock levels.
- Undertake the daily checks on the AD including the DM% and FOS/ TAC.
- Raise and record PO's,track invoices and sign off following a controlled and evidential system.
- Liaise with CHP contractors, Pentair, DNCC and/or Elster (not exhaustive) as necessary.
- Monitoring of the engine, scada and Pentair
- Record Site meter reads and assess/ analyse for trends or remedies.
Experience & Requirements
- Previous experience in AD, preferably at Manager level
- Certification for operation of telehandler
- First Aid
- Manual Handling
- Fire Training
- Confined Spaces training
- Working at Height training
- IOSHH Managing Safely/ WAMITAB
