Accounting & Vendor Risk Analyst - Construction Industry

Location: Temple, TX (100% Onsite)
Compensation: $55,000 – $65,000 annually
Benefits: 401(k), ESOP eligibility, vacation/PTO, sick time, and major holidays
*This is a permanent placement opportunity with a client of NOW CFO.
Key Responsibilities

Lead vendor risk management, including due diligence, annual risk assessments, and maintaining the vendor risk register

Oversee subcontractor contracts and insurance compliance (e.g., COI tracking, expiration alerts)

Monitor vendor health and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce compliance standards

Coordinate between accounting and project management platforms for efficiency

Support month-end close activities and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting within ERP systems

Manage vendor records and ensure accuracy across all platforms

Prepare and submit annual 1099s and IRS reporting for subcontractors and vendors

Perform additional accounting and compliance duties as needed
Must-Have Qualifications

3–5 years of professional accounting experience

Experience within the Construction Industry

Advanced Technology Skills

Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience with WIP reporting or construction-specific accounting processes
-
Familiarity with insurance certificate tracking and compliance
-
Proficiency with Spectrum ERP or Procore
-
Highly personable and comfortable interacting across teams and vendors
