Accounting Specialist (Hybrid) – Roselle, IL

$60,000 - $68,000/Annually – Plus full health benefits, 401(k) match, PTO

*Hybrid upon completion of training: 3 days in office, 2 days work from home*

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions
• Perform account reconciliations (bank accounts, AR, AP, etc.) and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts and supporting documentation
• Assist with process improvements in accounting
• Investigate and reconcile customer deductions related to promotional activity (On-invoice promotions, BOGO (Buy One, Get One), EDLP (Everyday Low Price), Scan-downs, billbacks)
• Collaborate with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Customer Service to validate or dispute deductions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed

Qualifications:

• 6 months of accounting/deductions experience
• Prior experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry or retail space is required
• Experience in Microsoft Office
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Numbers oriented and detail oriented
