Accounting Specialist – Construction Industry

We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Corporate Office team. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to contribute to the financial health of a growing construction company. You’ll handle both accounts payable and receivable while providing critical support to project managers and leadership.

What You'll Be Doing

• Accounts Payable: Process invoices, run weekly AP check cycles, monitor aging reports, and resolve vendor discrepancies.
• Accounts Receivable: Partner with Project Managers on billing, prepare pencil drawings and pay applications, manage client accounts, and set up new projects in Premier.
• General Accounting: Handle monthly sales & use tax filings, credit card reconciliations, year-end tax prep support, and assist with audits and special projects.
• Collaboration: Participate in weekly Project Manager meetings to align billing and financial updates with ongoing projects.

• Experience in accounting, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills to work with project managers, vendors, and leadership.
